Brian is currently the Office of Digital Teaching & Learning (DLT) Consultant for the Piedmont Triad Region with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Previously he has worked as an instructional design coach, instructional technology facilitator, and science/STEM teacher in Rowan-Salisbury Schools for 21 years. The highlight of his teaching experience involved teaching Design Thinking / Challenge Based Learning at North Rowan High School.  Brian has also taught previously with the North Carolina Virtual Public School and serves as an adjunct chemistry instructor at Catawba College.  He also serves as the secretary of the NCTIES Board (NC ISTE's Affiliate) and as the social media manager for the North Carolina Science Teacher Association (NCSTA).
